Tuesday Night Prayer

Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 4:2

These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers. Acts 1:14

Tuesday Night Prayer is when the church comes together and seeks the Lord corporately. We lift up the needs of both the church and our individual lives. It is very powerful to come together as Jesus’ Body and bear one another’s burdens, thus fulfilling the Law of Christ (Gal.6:2).

Since we have begun consistently praying on a weekly basis, we have seen God answer so many prayers! We can’t emphasize the importance of prayer enough. All of us can ask ourselves the following questions regularly:

  • Do I consistently pray? Am I obeying Colossians 4:2?
  • Do I first try to “fix things” myself, or do I first go to the Lord in prayer?
  • Am I generally a self-dependent person?
  • Are there people in my life who need prayer? Do I pray for them?
  • In a difficult situation, do you say, "All we can do is pray," as if that's a "last resort"?

Once we cultivate a consistent prayer life, we will never be the same. Meeting corporately – just like the early church did – is a very important part of that.
