Children's Ministry

And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. Acts 2:42

And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. Eph. 4:11

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. John 15:5

But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven." Matt. 19:14

Discipling the next generation of Believers is a great privilege. At Calvary Chapel, we take this privilege very seriously.

Here are some of the aspects of our Children's Ministry which you might find helpful to know:

Curriculum — We use a Children's Ministry curriculum which endeavors to teach the Bible to children from cover to cover. If your child attended the Children’s Ministry from the age of 4 to the sixth grade, the child would have been taught through the entire Bible twice.
Worship — In addition to the curriculum, the children also get to enjoy corporate worship together at the beginning of the service. All teachers and aides are present at this time, and participate in all hand gestures with the children. Additionally, the children take turns opening and closing this worship time in prayer.
Puppets — Puppets are a great tool to re-enforce the lesson, or teach a new one. This fun time with puppets also occurs during the corporate worship time.
Security and Safety — The security and safety of the children are always a critical concern for us. In order to facilitate these, the following steps have been taken:

Every Children's Ministry servant has been thoroughly screened through a nationwide security and background check service. This service checks multiple agencies in order to clear each person's background and record. If there is any doubt whether or not they should be around children, they are not allowed to serve in the ministry.
No men ever change diapers
No person is ever alone in a room with a child
All classrooms have windows, and all curtains are open
Children use a "children's only" restroom with adults waiting outside
